State agencies should be fully funded
To the editor:
Governor Venturaís budget proposal dramatically underfunds state services already lacking the resources necessary to attract people willing and capable to do Minnesotaís work.
Besides compromising services to the public, state agencies are no longer able to attract and retain qualified employees to perform basic public services. The state has not kept pace with the private sector in terms of offering competitive wages and benefits to its workplace.
Minnesota expects and deserves quality public services. Let us preserve Minnesotaís quality of life by fully funding state agencies and higher education.
