Curves for Women collects food for N. Branch Food Shelf
Curves for Women, a workout center in North Branch, held a month-long food drive during March. Sponsored by Gary and Diane Heavin, founders of Curves International, Inc., the ìFood for Friendsî Curves for Women 2001 International Food Drive ended last week at the North Branch location. Staff and members at Curves collected 1,535 pounds of food for the North Branch Food Shelf. Curves for Women offered a couple of incentives to members bringing in donations during the food drive, including no service fees for bringing in one bag of groceries, and receiving a t-shirt and certificate of appreciation if they brought in a bag of food, worked out three times during one week, and lost five pounds and five inches.
