via U of Minnesota Extensionís online ëInfo-Uí hotline
The University of Minnesota Extension Serviceís new ìInfo-Uî hotline can answer some of those nagging home improvement questions for you 24 hours a day for free.
The new program, accessible by calling (612) 624-2200 in the Twin Cities Metro area, or 800-525-8636 in greater Minnesota, can answer some of these pressing home improvement questions quickly and easily any time of the day or night.
The program may also be accessed, online, at: www.extension.umn.edu.
The hotline addresses frequently asked questions concerning: families, foods, health issues in the home, housing and clothing, household pests, pets and small animals, septic systems, small acreage and farms, environmental quality, yard and garden, and wildlife, among others.
Hundreds of sub-categories are available for perusal by phone or Internet:
Have a problem with boxelder bugs or wasps, weeds, moles in your yard, forest tent caterpillars, or ants in your home?
How about moss on your roof, ice dams, radon concerns or excess moisture? Wondering whatís best for growing potatoes, squash and asparagus?
Learn more about food borne illnesses, age-appropriate behavior issues, ëmaking pickles,í and nutrition...
For questions on child safety, new babies in the home or finicky eaters, or for mud and grass stains, simply check out Info-U.
