Posted 8/23/01 Big injustice to 6th grade boys To the editor: August 8 Post Review announces sign-up for 6th grade boys tackle football. Tryouts Aug. 11, 13, 15, and 18, cut made on the 18th. Boys showed up to try out on the 13th and were told they couldnít try out because the team was filled on the 11th and were getting their uniforms on the 14th and there were no tryouts. I see no fairness in this, maybe if our coaches canít be fair and teach good sportsmanship itís time to give up coaching. There is no other sports program in North Branch that gives such little sign-up notice nor do they have a one day do or die sign up. I feel that this program either needs to be revised or cancelled before other boys are let down for no apparent reason. Karen Cleveland North Branch ©Post Review
