Posted 8/23/01 Pesticide recycling days are set for Aug. 27-30 Mark Aug. 27 - 30 as the days to recycle your clean pesticide (and Surfactant) containers. To get rid of them, bring all your pesticide containers to Petersonís North Branch Mill and/or Federated Co-op in Ogilvie during normal business hours only. The containers should not include caps, a label sleeve and no mini bulk or containers larger than 55 gallons will be accepted. There is no cost for those wishing to recycle their waste pesticide containers. According to Rod Elmstrand, Chisago County Extension Educator, this recycling effort is a team effort to assist our communities with clean up and to dispose of these waste containers. The Pesticide Container Recycling Dayís are sponsored by area ag supply dealers, the University of Minnesota Exten-sion Service in Pine, Isanti, Chisago, Kanabec and Mille Lacs counties, Tri-Rinse, Inc. and the Minnesota Department of Agriculture.
