Brabender is ëFirst Studentí region manager
Veteran location manager David Brabender has been appointed region operations manager for First Student, Inc., Minnesotaís largest school bus operator.
Brabender, of North Branch, has directed activities a the companyís Mounds View facility for more than 20 years.
In announcing Brabenderís recent appointment, Region Vice President Jeff Pearson said Brabender had been a valuable member of the Region One team since 1976, serving as driver, dispatcher and contract manager.
ìI am confident that Dave Brabender will help move us to even greater levels of customer service and accomplishment,î Pearson said.
Brabender, a native of Mahtomedi, began his career driving for the former St. Paul Suburban Bus Company in 1976. He later became a dispatcher, and was named location manager in 1984. As a leading location manager, he regularly provided assistance to other locations with recruiting, scheduling and assorted issues.
Brabender is now responsible for the managment of First Studentís 10 Minnesota locations, employing nearly 2,000.
ìI always look forward to making a contribution to First Student,î Brabender said. ìMy goal is to be there to help out at all locations and get all working as one.î
Brabender is married and the father of three. One son is married and attending a commercial pilot school, while his two other children attend high school.
