Many thanks to many people for a successful event; Mayor Lawrence praises celebration, community volunteers.
From the first bite of pancakes to the spectacular fireworks, Stacy Mayor Kathi Lawrence says the day was ìoutstanding.î
ìThis was the best Stacy Daze weíve ever had,î she said, ìIt was a full house. It was unbelievable.î
From the city employees to the volunteer workers, she said they all outdid themselves.
She believes the reason it went so well was because everybody did his or her part and no one person got stuck doing everything.
This was the first year for the fireworks and Lawrence said, ìThey were the best fireworks Iíve ever seen.î
Many people, businesses and organizations worked together to pull off this annual event and even with overpowering temperatures, the folks in Stacy feel it was a big success.
