North Branch senior Erin King is MN High School League ëAAA Awardí recipient
North Branch senior Erin King was recently awarded the 2000 AAA Award in Region 7AA of the Minnesota High School League.
Fifteen female and fourteen male students in Region 7AA who excelled in Academics, Athletics and Fine Arts were nominated for the AAA Award. Erin was selected to receive the award along with Erik Kristian Ostrom of Cambridge-Isanti.
The Minnesota High School League sponsors the AAA award for a seniors who excel in academics, demonstrated by a 3.0 GPA or better; Athletics, demonstrated via at least one MSHSL-sponsored athletic activity); and Arts (debate, speech, one-act play, instrumental or vocal music).
Erin has earned a 3.965 GPA at North Branch while competing in volleyball, tennis (she was All Conference in 2000) and softball (All Conference honorable mention in 2000). She also participates in band and choir, and has received excellent solo and ensemble ratings in both.
Erin Serves plays harp as an accompanist for the choir, is involved in flagline, ënew creationsí (a church band), the Harmonnaires, and Northern Pines music performances.
Erin has served as her class secretary and as treasurer, the Student Advisory Committee, Prom Committee, International Club, Math League, National Honor Society, ëWhoís Who in American High Schools, and on the Board of Directors for Community Partnership.
Erin is the daughter of Charles and Renee King, North Branch.
Also nominated for the AAA Award, from North Branch, was senior Jon Pohlkamp.
