Posted 6/13/01 Thankful and grateful for I-35 accident assistance To the editor: Our most sincere ìthank youî to all who came to our aid at the accident scene Thursday evening, May 31, on I-35 south near Stacy. Thanks to all the volunteers on the fire department, rescue team, the highway patrol and especially to the gentleman who held my head until they were certain it was safe for me to be moved. This was a traumatic experience for us, one we will never forget. We have our lives to be thankful for and also for your gentleness, kindness and dedication to service. The human touch of those powerful hands holding my head was my comfort and my guardian angel. From the depth of our hearts we are grateful and thankful to one and all.
