Rush City Burger King robbed May 28
On Monday, May 28, at approximately 4:50 a.m., the Burger King in Rush City was robbed. The employee who was opening the store was surprised by a lone young male wearing a nylon mask.
The suspect had the employee open the safe and took an undisclosed amount in cash and checks. The suspect did strike the employee during the robbery. No weapon was threatened.
Chisago County Investigator Garice Carlson said the robbery is still under investigation and there are no suspects yet.
More theft in RC
A resident on 7th St. in Rush City reported a purse stolen from her car on May 29, including car keys, wallet, and identification cards.
Another resident on First St. reported the theft of a cell phone from his auto parked in his driveway on May 27. The phone was taken from the arm rest in the center console. The suspect left a blue substance on the arm rest, it was noted.
A chain saw was reported stolen from a home in the 8000 block of 540th St. in Rush City on June 3.
A three cylinder diesel engine (KHD Deutz Model FL1011) was taken from a business on Harder Ave. in Harris on May 29.
A Suzuki motorcycle, valued at $1,154, was taken from a garage on Iris Ave. in Harris May 30. The cycle is yellow and white with the letters JR in pink on the gas tank. Deputies Carroll and Nelson responded to this incident. No suspects.
A purse was taken from the vehicle of a North Branch resident on Furman St. June 1. The credit card was used at a K-Mart and two Citgo stations. Deputy Henricks was assigned to this incident. No suspects.
Four handguns stolen from Wyoming home
Four handguns and 42 Series EE Savings Bonds were taken from a home on Goodview Ave. in Wyoming May 29 including a .357 Mag Ruger revolver.
