She says city officials donít hear her message

To the editor:

What part of NO doesnít the council and planning commission understand? For those who donít, it means ìopposed to yes.î

The majority of North Branchers are opposed to this continued out of control growth. Yet the city officials donít get the message.

Apparently, we must remind you continously that you represent all of us. You have repeatedly said it was a ìselectî few that were opposed to the enormous growth. Not true! We are in the majority.

More and more citizens are speaking out. Keep it up. It is the squeaky wheel that gets the grease. Donít give up. This is your community - take it back.
Openings, for changes, on the Comprehensive Plan Committee are available. Today, June 20, is the last day for application. Call immediately and make application. You can make the difference. If you donít, you only have yourself to blame. Lisa Atkinson, 674-8113, at city hall, is the one to talk to.
Also, tonight, a work session at city hall - 5 p.m. Under discussion will be yet another development - Woodduck Pond. Our infrastructure (streets, school, etc.) is overburdened. Shopping is at a minimum and yet more houses. Letís rent a bus and take the council and planning commission to Cambridge. What will they see? Menards, Wal-Mart, Target, etc. and SHOPPING. Why must our money be spent elsewhere? Poor planning. Make your wishes known, call the council members.
