Posted 6/22/01 Casey is new director of Extension Service Dr. Charles H. Casey was approved to take over as dean and director of the University of Minnesota Extension Service by the Board of Regents effective June 15. Casey had been interim dean and director since April 1999. Casey received his bachelorís degree and doctor of veterinary medicine degree from the U of M. He practiced rural veterinary medicine for 27 years and was a partner in the Dodge Veterinary Clinic in West Concord and Dodge Center, Minn. He was a member of the university's Board of Regents for 12 years, and its chair from 1989 to 1991. He served on the University of Minnesota Foundation Board, and received the University of Minnesota's Outstanding Achievement Award in 1993. ©Post Review
