Curfew law reminder for summer from YSB
With summer rapidly approaching and more opportunities for children and youth to be out and about on their own, the Restorative Justice staff at the Youth Service Bureau wants to refresh parentsí memories on local curfew laws in the area.
YSB believes it is important to know where your children are and what your local ordinance reads for curfew.
Curfew laws were not designed just as an attempt to control crime happening late at night. The laws were also put into place to keep others from preying on our kids.
If you have questions about curfew ordinances, contact your local city or township, or call the Youth Service Bureau at 651-464-3685.
Local curfew ordinances include:
Chisago County (laws are in effect unless city or township ordinance is in place) Ages 17 and under 12:01 a.m.- 5 a.m. Mon.-Fri.; 1:30 a.m. - 5 a.m. Sat. & Sun.
City of North Branch: Ages 17 and under 10 p.m. - 5 a.m. Mon-Sun.
