Thank you, thank you, thank you
As we come up to June 17th, the 25th anniversary of ECM Publishers, Inc. , producers of the publication you are reading, our overwhelming feeling is one of gratitude.
First, we would thank the customers, readers, advertisers, purchasers of printing and distribution functions, visitors to our Web site http://www.hometownsource.com and all others who provide patronage, the lifeblood of the organization.
Second only to customers in our priority are the people associated in the enterprise, many of whom have served the entire 25 years and have grown to expertness, executive ability, and feelings of self worth as key parts of a significant endeavor.
We would single out the publications that merged into ECM, many with records of more than 100 years of service, for the way they have melded into ECM and accepted its philosophy and method of doing business.
Then there are the suppliers of paper, ink, and all manner of equipment to keep ECM on the cutting edge of technological improvement.
Bankers have played their role in supplying credit with confidence and we have had important help from lawyers and auditing firms. Long-serving directors of the company provide internal auditing and guidance.
The Community Affairs Council is an activity of ECM associates of which we are particularly thankful and proud. It extends the interest of the company to the overall community by making grants to public service agencies as well as scholarships to associates' children.
To all who have contributed to growth and prosperity for these 25 years we extend a heartfelt thank you. With the contract to print the upper Midwest regional issue of the New York Times the firm achieves a new level of stature and significance.
We look forward to the years ahead with confidence and anticipation. -- ELMER L. ANDERSEN
