This item was on the March 7 county board agenda, the first of two evening meetings this month.

Heemsbergen also asked for and got permission to conduct public hearings on various zoning issues including processing of agricultural goods which is allowed as a conditional use permit. The board has expressed a desire for revisions to the current zoning ordinance with an emphasis on slaughterhouses.
A second issue for the public hearing will be clarification of language pertaining to Planned Unit Developments (PUD) and cluster developments.
The third item for that meeting will be the setback issues for county roads.
Addressing the recent Planning Commission actions, the board approved the preliminary plat of 17 lots on 95 acres as requested by Scott Montgomery and Paul Keleher in Lent Township and approved the final plat of Moose Meadows in Fish Lake Township.
There were no members of the public in attendance for the open forum portion of this meeting.
