Posted 3/21/01 Senator Ring praises NB Girls B-Ball team To the editor: Heartfelt congratulations go out to coach Dan Schindler and the North Branch Vikings on their recent runner-up finish at the State Girls Basketball Tournament. Your drive to the state championship game, as well as your Rum River Conference championship and Section 6AAA title, have made all of your community proud. A winning season in prep sports is an effort that combines the talents of not just players and coaches, but parents, cheerleaders, teachers and fans as well. Your hard work in the classroom and on the court has earned you the honors you have received. As the editor of the Post Review for many years, I had the privilege of watching you grow as girls and as athletes.
