Posted 3/21/01 Newsmakers The following area students were among the 1969 North Dakota State University students to be placed on the fall 2000 Deanís List: DANIEL MOHR, Braham, majoring in Mechanical Engineering; VALERIE BENGTSON, Chisago City, major: General Architecture; MARK RICHTER, Chisago City, Industrial Eng. & Mgmt.; JAMIE TOMLIN, Forest Lake, Civil Engineering; and CHAD ANDERSON, Taylors Falls, majoring in Industrial Eng. & Management. Aid Association for Lutherans (AAL) Branch 4800, North Branch, has been awarded a Gold Star rating in recognition of community services. The branch is led by Rosy Valoz, Chairman, JaCKIE JOHNSON, recorder and WILTON JOHNSON, treasurer, all of North Branch. The branch is supported by AAL representative Barry Springborn of Cambridge, MN. To achieve a Gold Star rating the branch must conduct regular business meetings, an election and a planning meeting, and sponsor at least one benevolent, one educational and one Branch Member Welcome: Spice Up Your Life event and three additional activities in any combination.
