Posted 3/28/01 Vote yes for kids To the editor: I am writing this letter to ask for your support of the school district levy and bond issues that will appear on a mail in ballot in May of 2001. The children of our community need your support and your involvement in the school system that provides education for their success. The ballot will have two questions for consideration.ÝThe first is a bond to build a new elementary school and the second is a levy for learning that will cancel the old levy and put in place a new levy to support the needs of technology and classroom support for North Branch students. Both of these questions are worthy of your support and give our kids more opportunity to achieve success. Your support on this issue is genuinely needed.ÝThe elementary schools are overcrowded and even lack playground space that can offer a safe environment for young students.ÝOther classes are being taught in hallways and spaces constructed as storage areas. I am asking that you support our community with a yes vote for kids.ÝI challenge the supporters of this issue to talk to your friends and neighbors about the needs of our schools.
