Rush City FLA in the news
Rush City High School FLA (Future Leaders of Tomorrow) members recently brought back four gold awards and a trophy from the Region FLA meeting in Milaca.
Erin Hestbeck and Sarah Kay received a gold for their presentation, ěTeen Runaways: Broken Hearts and Bad Attitudes.î Alison Kay and Vanessa Robinson received gold for their presentation, ěAnorexia and Bulimia: Are teens dying to be thin?î
Ashley Schafer received a gold on ěDiabetes,î Mary Heine received a silver on ěJob Interview.î Sarah Kay received gold on her report ěTeen Pregnancy: When children have children.î Gold winners advance to state.
The FLA and the March of Dimes gives a huge thank you to the RCHS student body for its contribution of $367.51 for the March of Dimes educational program. The money will be used to educate others about the prevention of birth defects. The student council matched the funds raised for a total of $735.02 for the March of Dimes.
