Posted 5/30/01 Bears spend morning in North Branch backyard A trio of black bears spent the morning at the Goodroadsí resident in North Branch May 22. The bear and her cubs climbed the trees for a lengthy nap and frolicked in the backyard for a while at the home on Grand Ave. south of the North Branch High School. The bears may have been passing through or might live in the area. At any rate, the DNR would advise not to get between the sow and her cubs. Removing bird feeders will also prevent the trio from lingering in the area. ©Post Review
