S&C Bank set to build new facility in Almelund
Jim Herbert of S&C Bank, Minnesota is pleased to announce that S&C Bank plans to build a new 1,400 square foot facility with full drive-up service to replace the existing facility in Almelund.
The new site will be on the west side of Almelund off Hwy. 95.
ìWe are happy to show our commitment to the community of Almelund by providing a new facility to meet the needs of all our community members,î Herbert said. ìWe are also very excited about the fact that this new building will have a drive-up for our customersí convenience. The new facility allows us to meet the needs of our customers during more convenient times from the comfort of their cars,î he said.
Herbert will manage the new facility in Almelund in addition to his duties in Harris and Taylors Falls.
S&C Bank purchased the deposits and some of the loans of the former Town and Country Bank of Almelund when Town and Country was closed by the FDIC in July, 2000. There are 16 S&C Bank locations throughout the St. Croix and Chippewa valleys ó from which the bank draws its name.
The FDIC will sell the existing building at auction. The FDIC has owned it since Town and Country ceased business last summer. An architectís sketch of the new building is now on display at the Almelund, Harris and Taylors Falls facilities.
S&C Bank is a member of S&C Banco, a financial services company located in New Richmond, Wis. The company employs about 150 people and has assets of about $300 million.
