Pat Tallarico Commander VFW Post #6424 ìI extend my sympathy and prayers to all who perished and the loved ones left behind. ìThis was an unprovoked act of war on U.S. citizens. It was not declared by us - but by the people who attacked us. ìWe must retaliate swiftly. If it is Osama bin Laden, and we know he is in Afghanistan, then we must bomb the hell out of them until they give him up, and if it is Saddam Hussein, we must bomb the hell out of Iraq until his people give him up. ìWhoever is responsible for this despicable act thought our mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters and children were indispensible. ìThere has been entirely too much ëwe donít want to offend anyoneí in this country. It is time this country stood up and said we are the biggest and most powerful and we will get respect. ìTerrorists kill our soldiers in their barracks while they sleep, they kill our sailors while they sleep. They hold (our people) hostage, they attack our embassies and now kill us at home while we try to do our job. ìWe must demand retaliation. Itís time our children start their school day with the pledge of Allegiance. Be proud you are an American. Stand up! Speak out! Freedom is not free.
