School fee should be added to each new house built in N. Branch
To the editor:
When the rezoning of Woodduck Ponds was passed and also the preliminary plat at the September 10 city council meeting, all I could do is sit in shock.
With North Branch schools busting at full capacity, city streets packed, and the loss of farmland, the only one who had any sense and could see this was councilperson Amy Oehlers. The other council members ignored the pleas of the public to slow down the cityís growth.
With the schools short on space and money, I have to wonder why there was no one there from the school district to put in their views on the state of the schools, and give their opinion on what another development of 144 houses will do to the district.
I also want to suggest that along with the park fees that the counsel always makes sure that is passed on each house built; they should also have a school fee for every house that is built.
