Ask not what your county can do for you, says letter writer
To the editor:
It is the expressed opinion of the Chisago County Attorney that county commissioners are neither officers nor employees of the county. What does this make them exactly - potted palms maybe?
The county attorneyís opinion begs the real question of whether our county commissioners are servants of the people or whether county property tax payers and other Chisago citizens are merely the servants of the commissioners.
It appears that ìask not what your county can do for you, ask rather what you can (and must) do for your countyî is the official policy here in Chisago.
