Lyle C. Johnsen

Lyle Clarence Johnsen age 85 of Lindstrom formerly of North Branch and Chisago City died on Dec. 13, 2002.
Funeral services were held on Monday Dec. 16, at the Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom with Rev. Donald Oldenburg and Rev. John Golv officiating. Interment was in the Fairview Cemetery in Lindstrom, Minn. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in Lindstrom.
Lyle was born on May 12, 1917 in Cannon Falls, Minn. to Fred and Edith (Baldwin) Johnsen. He attended Chisago Lake High School in Lindstrom and graduated in 1935. He then attended the University of Minnesota and got his degree in Mortuary Science in 1939. He worked in Chisago City and North Branch as a funeral director.
On Jan. 31, 1942 he married Evelyn Hagstrom in Kimball Nebraska. He later married Bobbie Dinsmore on Sept. 23, 1984 after Evelynís death.
Lyle was a member of the Chisago City Fire Dept., the Masons, Lyons Club and the North Branch American Legion. He served in the Army during WWII and earned the rank of Sergeant Major. Lyle enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, his community and church.
Lyle was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife Evelyn and two grandchildren Timothy and Sean Olson. He is survived by wife Bobbi, three daughters Vicky Bergquist and husband Dick, Trudy Trenda and husband Jon, Sherry Olson and husband Roger, six grandchildren Michael, Mark and wife Melissa, and Mitchell Berg-quist, Heather Zimmerman and husband Michael, Christopher Trenda and Jessica Dumond, and Daniel Olson; and several great grandchildren.
