Thanks food stores for support
To the editor: The Youth Service Bureau (YSB) and the Youth Advisory Board (YAB) would like to thank Cub Foods and Rainbow Foods in Forest Lake for showing their support of Minnesota Chemical Health Week. On Thursday, Nov. 21, Cub Foods and Rainbow Foods welcomed members of the YSB to greet customers and supply them with a red MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving) ribbon in exchange for their pledge to not drink and drive, or ride with a drunk driver. The YAB is a group of students from the Forest Lake area who are committed to making a difference in their community. This year they braved the cold to spread awareness on the issues of drunk driving and chemical health. YAB members would also like to extend a thank you to the customers who have supported this project, pledged to make healthy choices and tied on a ribbon. While the official MN Chemical Health Week has ended, chemical health remains an important issue to the teens within this community year around. Please continue to show your support for this issue by tying a red ribbon to your carís antenna. Carrie Dobie Prevention Education Counselor Youth Service Bureau
