Rush City wrestlers host GRC JV Tournament

The Rush City junior varsity wrestling squad hosted several other junior varsity teams last Monday, Feb. 4, when they held the Great River Conference JV Tournament.

Other teams in attendance were some of the Tigers toughest competition, including Olgilvie, Hinckley-Finlayson and Mille Lacs.

The Tigers had three champions by the dayís end.
Adam Best, 125, MacKenzie Johnston, 145, and Corey Willert, 152, all took home titles.

ìOur JV has wrestled outstanding this entire season,î said head coach Kevin Jenson.

Jenson said the JV individual season ended with a record 106 wins to 70 losses.

JV is finished competing for the season.
