Tilda RystromTilda Rystrom, 88, of Cambridge passed away on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2002 at the Grandview Christian Home. Funeral services were held at Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2002 from Spring Lake Lutheran Church with Rev. Tim Bjorge officiating. Special music was provided by Howard Doble. Organist was Crystal Peterson. Pallbearers were Bill Bendiske, Joe Rystrom, Bill Irkfetz, Joe Nelson, Steve Carlson, and Richard Marohn. Interment was in Spring Lake Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Carlson-Labatte Funeral Home in Cambridge. Tilda (Tjaden) Rystrom, the oldest of six children born Nov. 20, 1913 to George and Minnie (Iwerks) Tjaden at Monroe, South Dakota. She grew up in Humbolt, SD. In 1935 she married Paul Rystrom and the couple was blessed with three children; Marlene, Barbara and Richard. In 1946 they moved to rural North Branch and farmed there for 35 years. In 1980 they retired from farming and moved to Cambridge. In 1990 they moved to Mill Ridge Commons. Paul passed away in 1991. Tilda was also employed at Control Data in Cambridge for 11 years. She had been a member of Spring Lake Lutheran Church since 1946. Tilda is survived by daughters Marlene Egelkraut of Anoka, Barbara and husband Delano Olson of Harris, six grandchildren Cheri Klocek, Brenda Marohn, Karmen Irkfetz, Richelle Nelson, Dawn Bendiske and Steven Egelkraut, 11 great-grandchildren, two sisters Hannah Pirrung of Sioux Falls, SD, Dorothy Skinlo of Charleston, IL, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, son Richard, great-grandsons Kory Marohn and Brandon Irkfetz, brothers LeRoy, Fred and Marvin Tjaden, and son-in-law Robert Egelkraut. ©ECM Post Review |
