Missing NB kids found in motel pool just going for a swim

Two children, age six and eight, missing from their Countryside Trailer Park home last Saturday night, had many people worried and that concern drew a number of law enforcement agencies to North Branch in a search lasting some four hours or so, according to NB Police Chief Jules Zimmer.

Involved in the search were the North Branch Police and Fire Departments, Chisago County deputies, the State Patrol helicopter and even a Washington County Canine crew.

If you were in town Saturday night, you were probably aware of the many law enforcement vehicles around town.
Zimmer said as time went on the searchers got a little more concerned.

ìWe just didnít know where they were,î Chief Zimmer said.
After four hours or so, he said, they were discovered at the Super 8 Motel swimming in the pool.
ìThey were fine,î Zimmer said, ìthey just figured theyíd go for a swim.î
