17-year-old killed in two-vehicle collision on frosty roads

A 17-year-old Chisago City youth, Jacob Westbrock, was killed in a two-vehicle accident on Green Lake Trail, at Kismet Dr. in South Chisago Lakes Township Jan. 8.

Westbrock was traveling north on Green Lake Trail when he, according to the Sheriffís report, lost control of his vehicle on frost-covered roads.

A second vehicle, driven by Marie Ferraro of Lindstrom was traveling south on Green Lake Trail and collided with Westrockís vehicle as it slid sideways on the road.

Another two-car accident was reported Jan. 8 on Co. Rd. 30 north of Stacy.

When an officer arrived, he found a panel van facing northbound on Co. Rd. 30 and a 1993 Pontiac in the ditch down a steep embankment.

Neither of the drivers was injured, both had been wearing their seat belts. There were no citations.

Burglary:
Several building supply items were reported missing from a construction site on Blue Heron Trail in Nessel Township Jan. 10.

Among the items missing was a six ft. whirlpool, an $800 air-compressor, 150í of air hose, $800 worth of siding and miscellaneous trim, lumber, 15 pieces of sheathing, two boxes of staples and Micro-lamb.

Total value of missing items was about $3,500.
