Congratulations to RC Dollars
for Scholars scholarship recipient
TO THE EDITOR:
We would like to congratulate this yearís recipient of the Rush City Dollars for Scholars scholarship, Dustin Defibaugh. He plans to attend Oak Hills Christian College in Bemidji, Minn. with future plans of becoming a veterinarian.
Dustinís scholarship has been provided by the Rush City Jaycees and the Rush City VFW Post 6692. Scholarship amounts are determined by interest earned on money donated by the Jaycees and the VFW.
Rush City Dollars for Scholars has been active since 1980 giving out more than $80,000 in scholarships.
Repayment of past scholarships is encouraged allowing additional scholarships to be given. Future fund-raisers are being planned and financial support is appreciated. Any family or organizations wanting to start a permanent scholarship or anyone with questions may call Dennis Pederson at 358-3913. Volunteers wanting to give a lending hand are always appreciated.
