Youth Minister receives
well-earned thanks and praise

TO THE EDITOR:
Iíd like to publicly acknowledge the positive results and enduring effort of one of our communities finest ñ Dani Rice. Dani is the Youth Minister at St. Gregoryís Church in North Branch where she spends countless hours partnering with and mentoring many of our children on their spiritual development. Through her work, she helps bring balance to many lives where the pressures of school, parental expectation and social acceptance would otherwise be overwhelming.
While many focus on the negative media which surrounds the Catholic faith, she brings fresh perspective and an inviting approach to working with youth. Many regularly participate in community building activities such as a food drive, working with Family Pathways, Green Acres, and Chisago County Senior Center just to name a few. Summer Stretch is a program discussed regularly.
During the summer months, it welcomes over 2,500 children who on a weekly basis participate in spiritual and character building activities.
On Thursday, Aug. 1, they will travel to ValleyFair in Shakopee to enjoy a day of well-earned fun.
Kudos for a job well done Dani!
