Central sewer system could improve lake condition
TO THE EDITOR: In response to your commentary about Rush Lake, I am disheartened to know someone who lives in my community is so negative about the area. I hope you could find the time to drive past the public access and note the number of parked boat trailers. These fishermen must enjoy the lake and the fish they catch. As do the fisherman who occupy the hundreds of ice houses on the lake during the winter. Please take note of the real estate section in the local papers. Most homes on Rush Lake are listed for over $200,000. Many of the homes are upgraded cabins. Why are people willing to pay such a high price to live on Rush Lake? It is obvious the lake is weedy and green. Perhaps when we all stop using fertilizer and have a central sewer system, conditions will improve. Millie Peters Rush City
