OpinionNorth Gate block party July 24 was a huge success in spite of rainTO THE EDITOR: The North Gate Plaza block party was a huge success. Despite the rain, approximately 90 residents and business members turned out to enjoy an evening of visiting and tasty treats. The following businesses participated in this event: Allina Medical Center, alluore tanning salon, G&K Builders, Holiday Station Store, MilCon Inc., Minnesota Eye Consultant, North Branch Municipal Liquor, Provide Care, Radio Shack, Room for Growing, The Flower Shop, and Total Family Fitness. Our $100 Grand Prize winner was Vern Nordquist. These were the winners of the businesses drawings: Allina Medical Center ñ Rosey Klopp and Chris Kampher, Room for Growing-Teresa Connolly, alluore tanning salon ñ Sara Nagel, Provide Care ñ Vicki Granat and Doris Nordquist, North Branch Municipal- Rosey Klopp, Minnesota Eye Consultants ñ Kelli Sly, Ellie Mittlestaedt, Christopher Knolls, Melody Monroe and Troy Fairbanks, The Flower Shop ñ Tammy Carlson, John Maher and Rosey Klopp. Total Family Fitness, G&K Builders, MilCon, Inc. and Holiday Station Store had gifts for many winners.
