MN Farm Bureau names ìFriends of Agricultureî

Seventy-two state legislators have been designated as ìFriends of Agricultureî by the Minnesota Farm Bureau Federation (MFBF). MFBF President Al Christopherson said the honor recognizes those legislators whose records have demonstrated ìboth an understanding of agriculture and a commitment to its future during the 2001-2002 legislative session.î

This award was developed by MFBF to help strengthen agricultureís voice in public affairs. It is based on how closely legislators vote in agreement with Farm Bureau policy, but does not carry re-election endorsement.
