Fourth of July holiday celebrations held statewide

Several cities and towns across Minnesota are hosting celebrations throughout the Fourth of July holiday weekend. The Minnesota Office of Tourism has information on these and many more events and activities in Minnesota at exploreminnesota.com.
Northern Minnesota
ï Downtown Chisholm will be the site through July 7 of a Field of Dreams Festival, with karaoke, sidewalk days, a softball tournament, outdoor entertainment, and a street dance.
ï A water carnival will be held along the Lake Bemidji waterfront in Bemidji July 3-7, with a midway, kiddie events, fireworks, and Jaycee's tent.
ï Welles Memorial Park & Fairgrounds in Breckenridge will be the site of the Wilkin County Fair, July 3-7.
Twin Cities Area
ï Blaineís Blazin' 4th Festival will take place at the National Sports Center in Blaine through July 4. Featured will be a parade along Jefferson Street, family activities, picnics and music concerts at Aquatore Park, a fireworks display, and much more.
ï A 4th of July celebration will be offered in Chanhassen at the
City Center and Lake Ann Parks the evening of July 3 and all day July 4. Highlights will include a fishing contest, a street dance, parade, kiddie parade, trade fair and fireworks.
ï The State Capitol grounds in St. Paul will be the site of the annual Taste of Minnesota July 3-7, with entertainment for the whole family including free entertainment, stage shows andconcerts, food vendors, and fireworks each night.
Southern Minnesota
ï The Spicer Fourth of July celebration will be held through July 5. Highlights will include fireworks, a ring of fire, parade, flea market, softball tournaments, the Green Lake Run and a street dance.
ï The Cannon Valley Fair will be held at the fairgrounds in Cannon Falls through July 4, with a parade, fireworks, a carnival, demolition derbies, motorcross and harness racing.
ï From July 4-7, Hendricks will also offer a Summerfest, with a street dance, wind tower tours, a boat parade, and golf, volleyball, softball and basketball tournaments.
