William A. (Bill) Dresel

William A. (Bill) Dresel, age 80 of North Branch, died on Wednesday, June 26, 2002.
Funeral services were held Saturday, June 29 at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Branch. Interment was at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, North Branch, Minn. Arrangements by Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
Bill was born on June 5, 1922 in Minneapolis, Minn. to parents Arthur and Deliah (Morsette) Dresel. Bill is a lifelong resident and businessman of North Branch.
He served three years in the 356th bomb squad in the western Pacific during World War II. He served as mayor of North Branch for eight years. He is a founding member of American Legion Post 85 as well as past district commander. Bill is also a member of the VFW, past president of Zuhrah Horseman. In his younger days he was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Bill is preceded in death by his parents, and daughter Jacki Nordaune; siblings Tom Dresel, Donna Dresel and Barbara Hals.
Bill is survived by wife Lucile, children: Jon (Cathy), Joel (Julie) and Joan; six grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; siblings Dick (Ann) Dresel, and Mary Lou Hals; and many nieces and nephews.
