Carl Andrew Olson

Carl Andrew Bellinger Olson of Pine City, Minn., died suddenly Friday, June 21, 2002 as a result of complications due to asthma. He was 16 years old.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, June 25, at the Swanson Funeral Chapel in Pine City with Pastor Reid Zimmerman officiating. Eulogist was Morry Engler and music was provided by Lois Bengtson and Laura Zimmerman. Casketbearers were: The Rush City High School Class of 2004. Members of that class also spoke at the funeral. Carl was interred at West Rock Cemetery.
Carl was born Jan. 5, 1986 in St. Paul, Minn. to Wayne and Lisa (Bellinger) Olson. He was a student at the Rush City High School entering his junior year. He was active in sports currently playing baseball and football and in the past also involved in track and wrestling. Carl was a member of the Rush City High School band and had also participated in choir. He enjoyed 4-wheeling and snowmobiling. When time permitted he helped his uncles in their construction business.
Carl is survived by his parents, Wayne and Lisa, a brother Jeremy, grandparents, Carleen and Charles Bellinger of Minneapolis, Erling and Lynn Olson of Rock Creek, great-grandfather, John Monster of Crosby, Minn., aunts and uncles: Carla Bailey, Gretchen Schroeder, Marcia, Peter, Elaine, David, Cecile and Christine Bellinger, Pauline Froehlig, and Scott and Steve Olson as well as cousins, other relatives and friends.
