Fairview Lakes offers free physicals

Fairview Lakes Regional Health Care will offer low-cost sports screening physicals for student athletes on four consecutive Monday evenings in July and August. Pre-registration is required for these physicals. Cost is $25 paid at the time of the screening. (Forms will be provided for those who wish to file an insurance claim.)
Sports physical screening sessions are scheduled from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on:

Junior high, middle school or high school athletes from any area school system are welcome to take advantage of the program.
To participate in Minnesota State High School League-sanctioned sports programs, students must have a doctor's examination every three years. In general, students entering the seventh and tenth grades this coming fall who plan to participate in school sports will need the exam before practices begin in August.
"The annual sports screening offered by Fairview Lakes is a good way to meet the requirement at a low cost," explains Bryan Gaffey, Fairview Lakes' rehabilitation services manager, who helps coordinate the program.
Medical practitioners will provide physical examinations supplemented by musculoskeletal screening by a physical therapist.
