Georgia V. StoneGeorgia V. Stone, of Ham Lake, formerly of Blaine, died at the age 80 on June 5, 2002 at Mercy Medical Center in Coon Rapids. Funeral service was held June 10 at Glen Cary Lutheran Church in Ham Lake with Reverends Tom Moen and Jeff Jacobus officiating. Pallbearers were her grandchildren: Daniel, David and Rodney Gillund, Michele VanHover, Christopher Grote, Nicole Johnson, Cody, Jacob, Andrew, Jennifer Stone, Shawntil Eure, Jonathan and James Stone. Georgia was born July 26, 1921 in Chisago County, Minnesota to Edward and Mabel (Swanson) Hawkinson. She married Harold Henry Stone. She retired from Donaldsonís Department Store after twenty plus years. Georgia is survived by her children: Kathleen (Clifford) Gillund of Ogilvie, Diane (Nick) Grote of Braham, Michael (Susan) Stone of Coon Rapids, Patricia (Charles) Stone of Andover, 13 grandchildren (six granddaughters-in-law and three grandsons-in-law), 17 great-grandchildren; brother Adrian (Martha) Hawkinson of Colorado, sister-in-law Doris Hawkinson of Indiana, nieces, nephews, one brother-in-law, three sisters-in-law, other relatives and many friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, grandson Roger Gillund. ©ECM Post Review |
