The case of the missing medallion

The Midsummer Medallion Hunt had folks scattering all around town in search of the elusive coin. But the hunt came up with a snag Monday morning - the medallion was missing (from its hiding spot), but no one turned it in.

By Tuesday morning there was a fear that an animal, perhaps a dog, had absconded with the treasure. In an effort to bring forth the finder, the Post Review sent someone out to take a photo of the site.

The clues that were put up last week should have led someone to the hiding spot - at the Middle School, in the parking lot, under a bird house, by the police reserved parking sign.

Then the craziest thing happened, the Post Review staff person returned with not only the photo, but with the medallion.

It was found among some long grass. In its dirty plastic bag it looked very much like litter.

Now, what to do?

Well, technically, no one found the medallion within the alloted time, so it was returned to the American Legion Auxiliary. Better luck and better looking next year.
