Claude T. Swanson

Claude Theodore Swanson, age 53, died May 16, 2002, at his home in Duluth.

Funeral services were held on May 23 at First Lutheran Church, Port Wing, Wisc. with the Pastor James Rockensock of Sunrise officiating.

Interment was at the Greenwood Cemetery, Port Wing, Wisc.

Claude was born in Ashland, Wisc. on April 22, 1949, the son of Ralph and Esther Swanson.

Claude graduated from North Branch High School in North Branch in 1967. He was a talented musician who loved music, He also had a gift of being able to make people laugh. Being a good friend to all, he was able to cheer people up with his great sense of humor. Claude will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Claude is survived by his wife Dory and son Sean, of Aitkin, step-daughter Mandi of New Brighton, godparents-uncle and aunt Orville and Helen Swanson of Port Wing, Wisc., five brothers: Gordon of Lindstrom, Gary (Jan) of Alexandria, Minn., John (Janet) of Sunrise, Minn., Tom of Washburn, Wisc., and Roger (Rachel) of Felton, Calif.; nephews and nieces: Link, Roy and Jackie Swanson of Sunrise, Seth swanson of Alexandria, and Zack, Hannah, and Luke Swanson of Washburn; Aunt Lorraine Browne of Buffalo, New York, and Uncle Carl Johnson of Walker and several cousins.í

He was preceded in death by his parents, infant brother Jerry, grandparents Oscar and Lily Swanson and Theodore and Selma Johnson.
