Edward M. ChristiansEdward M. Christians, age 77 of North Branch died March 7, 2002 at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital. Edward was born January 7, 1925 in Worthington, Minn. to John and Laura (Johnson) Christians. On Feb. 4, 1946 he married Mildred Goldenstein in Donnelly, Minn. Ed worked as a farmer and welder for most of his life. He is survived by two sons: Duane and wife Nancy, and Marvin and friend Nancy; one daughter Shirley (Del) Freel; four grandchildren: Kim Christians, Tamera (Bryan) Stoffel, Keith (Janel) Freel, Laura (Brian) Casey; seven great-grandchildren: Ashley Boyce, Katelynn Christians, Ben Stoffel, Alexandria and Andrew Freel, Tessa and Connor Casey; two brothers: Richard and Stanley; two sisters: Edna Schipper and Ida Johnson; other relatives and friends. Funeral service was Monday, March 11 at Trinity Lutheran Church, North Branch. Visitation was one hour before the service at church. Interment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.
