New area golf course slated to open in JuneBy Danielle Strenke Area golfers will soon have another course to play in Chisago County. Countryside Golf Course in Palmdale just south of Almelund is scheduled to open the third weekend of June, as a 9-hole par 35 course. The course is located south of Hwy. 95 on Co. Rd. 76, nestled in between farm fields and rolling woods. A driving range is already open at the course, while owners Brad and Janet Johnson put the finishing touches on the fairways and greens. Janet said the course will appeal to golfers of any ability, and the surrounding quiet of the country will provide a very relaxing atmosphere.
