Adolph W. ìBillî HoltAdolph Wilhelm ìBillî Holt, age 89, of Oak Park Heights, formerly of North Branch, died May 22, 2002 at his home. Bill was born and raised in North Branch, graduating from North Branch High School. Bill was a graduate of Macalester College with a B.S. in chemistry. He was a veteran of WWII as a Major in the Army Corps of Engineers with He was a lifelong participant and promoter of the North Branch Golf Club and served as the club treasurer for many years. He was an avid supporter of North Branch High School athletics and activities. Bill will always be remembered doing the things he loved best: gardening, tennis, golfing, fishing, cross country skiing, puzzles, reading, square dancing, cribbage and sharing the love of his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Barbara (Wesson); children, Tony and wife Jeri of Portland, OR, Linda Gunberg and husband David of Grand Junction, CO, and Lisa Holt and husband, Bill Orn of Stillwater, Minn; grandchildren, Jason, Arik, Maili (Sean), David, Nora, Nathan, Katie and Sara; great-grandchildren, Katrina and Hunter; sisters, Irene Lomker and Mildred Newstrom; and other relatives and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles A. and Julia A. Holt and four brothers. The memorial service will be held on Friday, May 31, 2002 at Trinity Lutheran Church in North Branch at 1 p.m. Visitation will be at the church from noon to 1 p.m. A luncheon will follow the service at the church. ©ECM Post Review |
