Special Olympics thanks firemen
To the editor:
Special Olympics North Branch Area (SONBA) wishes to express its great appreciation to the Stacy-Lent Fire Department for its generous contribution.
Since the North Branch Independent School District elected to not support the Special Olympics in the school district, several parents and supporters of the athletes in our area have banded together and formed the new SONBA. Contributions such as that made by the Stacy-Lent firemen will make it possible for us to participate in the various athletic events sponsored by Special Olympics Minnesota, purchase uniforms and equipment.
