RCís Witte places in state CC meet

Rush City High School junior Kayla Witte capped off a spectacular season when she finished 55th in the state cross country meet held Nov. 2 at St. Olaf College in Northfield.
Witte, who finished the race in 16:36, had showed continued improvement throughout the year and proved herself one of the stars of the Rush City girls cross country team, consitently placing toward the top of the pack in all the meets this season.
Witte had competed in the state meet in three of the past four years. Last year she did not qualify.
Witte is pictured to the right running in the Swain Invitational meet in Duluth in October.
