Cityís problems havenít gone away
To the editor: The election is over, one part of the school referendum passed, the problems of the city havenít gone away, the grant to help pay for the new mechanical waste system hasnít been approved yet and another development of up to 290 houses, Wildridge, is on the table. The city council will be looking at this development on Monday, Nov. 25 at 7 p.m. All citizens who voted and are truly interested in the welfare of our city should attend. By the time we learned of this development, it was too late to notify you about the public hearing at the planning commission, but you can still make your wishes known by contacting city hall, 674-8113, or by calling councilmembers Rodney Lofquist, Larry Erickson, John Pace Jr., Amy Oehlers or Mayor Roger Else. If you think you solved the schoolís woes with a partial referendum youíre just kidding yourselves. We will be facing referendum after referendum if we open the flood gates and this 160 acres is developed on sewer and water. Barbara Burrington North Branch
