Wyoming Machine receives grant

Wyoming Machine was one of several state businesses that received grants for career-enhancement training from the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Program.
Fourteen grants totalling more than $4 million was allotted to help more than 4,100 workers, according to the Minnesota Department of Trade and Economic Development.
The grants were awarded through the Minnesota Job Skills Partnership Board.
The partnership offers technical, financial and job training help to businesses, communities, educational institutions and workers.
The board brings businesses with specific education needs together with teaching institutions to design customized training programs.
Wyoming Machine was partnered with Pine Technical College and the pair was given a $125,000 grant to serve 74 current and 84 new employees of the family-owned manufacturing company where fabricated sheet metal components are made.
Wyoming Machine is located off CR30 south in Stacy.
Training of the employees will included documenting the true cost of quality and continuous improvement, eliminating scrap and waste, performance accountability and visual management.
