Writer found county board meeting insulting

To the editor:
Last week in one of the local papers I read an editorial piece about the Chisago County board. Having not been to the board meeting, I kept an open mind and went to the next meeting. At the meeting on Nov. 20 I saw for myself the manner in which the chairman and the rest of the board acted. Their behavior was not even close to what the editorial described. The two lame duck commissars were arrogant, insulting, childish, rude, unreasonable, vindictive and hurtful.
By the way Bob and Tom, this is my opinion and yes everyone has one and the right to voice it.
The evening started by being insulting to my commissioner, and Bob continued to disrespect the citizens of Stacy and the Wyoming area the rest of the night.
The editorial in the paper last week was mild compared to the reality of the so-called governing board. The small petty characters of these men is laying right out front for all to see, perhaps for the good of the county they should resign today. Although I donít expect this to happen, the opportunity is there for them to salvage some respect and legacy for the time that they have served. The other two members of the board, that are up for election in two years, werenít much better. By sitting idly by and letting that type of behavior continue, you are just as guilty as your buddies.
Would you stand by and watch someone get beat to death in the same manner that you let that insulting behavior go on?
That meeting reminded me of the most stereotypical backwoods, good olí boy county, from the board through the administrator to the hand pick local boy consultants I have ever seen.
Now, I donít know if you will read the newspaper after a night of saying the paper doesnít get anything right, and if you have a problem with this you know how to get in touch with me.
One more thing about the newspapers, they can only print the information they get from you people at the county, so remember ìGarbage in Garbage out.î
I will close with the fact that you owe apologies to Ben, Denise, the people of Chisago County, the press in general and they need to be public apologies
